Belgium's Simon Sabbe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Terence Nicholas in the 41 minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lanny Gilmore made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Smallwood came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Lanny Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 minutes, Lanny Gilmore made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Belgium's Casper Claes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 64th minute of play. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. Tyron Velasquez replaced Arturo Turner. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Aaron Smallwood made a huge save. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Terence Nicholas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Aaron Smallwood was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yves Dervaux showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 85 minute of play. Aaron Smallwood didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Belgium booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lanny Gilmore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lanny Gilmore scored 3-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
