In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Surahammar's goalkeeper Carl Engström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Surahammar's Carl Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siricio Liotta in the 23rd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Italy's corner Eliseo Cutri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carl Engström quite easily take care of the ball. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Benett in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Surahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Kodzhabashev to maneuver through the defense. Carl Engström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaccheo Andolina went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Santxol made a kick off. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Victor Santxol sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Santxol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Surahammar made a substitution. André Pettersson replaced Victor Santxol. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Engström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Carl Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Italy failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
