The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilson Amorim firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Neycho Mudrov put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of Portugal booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Lanckneus didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Doriva Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Tavares came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neycho Mudrov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Péter Pálffy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Capivara FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neycho Mudrov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Felipe Barreto hit a great ball. When Capivara FC's Neycho Mudrov in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Péter Pálffy made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neycho Mudrov in the 53rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Péter Pálffy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Moura in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Tavares in the 60th minute of play. Felipe Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Péter Pálffy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Péter Pálffy had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Pimentel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goalkeeper Péter Pálffy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Capivara FC's João Francisco Mota was substituted for Zhang Chen. In the 77th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Neycho Mudrov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Bogumil Andrzejewski made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. The supporters of Portugal booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Stigsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Moreira hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Péter Pálffy in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
