In the 19th minute, Gelmiro Amezaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians Colombiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Willy Stieler's late challenge caught a Corinthians Colombiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willy Stieler helped the player get up and apologised. Juan Carlos Alvarez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Gaspar Serradell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when 罗振剑 came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 62nd minute of play. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gaspar Serradell sent off a good shot on target. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 罗振剑's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians Colombiano's 罗振剑. But to his dismay, 罗振剑 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when 罗振剑 came free in front of goal and shot 2-5 to the left of him in the 86 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Corinthians Colombiano's 罗振剑 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-6 after 90 minutes of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaspar Serradell went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. When the match was over Corinthians Colombiano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germany throughout the match.
