Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remy Breasley having to interfere. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remy Breasley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herman Heberle's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Heberle helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Germany booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Heberle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remy Breasley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Remy Breasley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 52nd minute of the match. Frank Sachs scored 0-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remy Breasley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Frank Sachs with Adrian Dreifuss as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 65th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Remy Breasley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 66 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remy Breasley. Frank Sachs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Sachs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remy Breasley. That made the score 0-5 in the 92 minute of play. The throw-in from Linus Schwerner in the 97th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle. Germany's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
