An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Torres in the 11th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Torres came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rogelio Mergildo who took care of the corner kick. After 15 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Belo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guillaume Bonte made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edward Vanderstraeten however managed to control. Fernando Belo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Belo having to make a save. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Belo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Belo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siebe Michiels, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Horacio Quinteros came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Cantera Leales Sin Pagar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Quinteros couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Clocheret. In the 64th minute Horacio Quinteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Quinteros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. Horacio Quinteros took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rogelio Mergildo was slow to take the kick. During this time Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Edelmiro Eli to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Fernando Belo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Belo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Belo made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Yves Dervaux sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Dervaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Belo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's goalkeeper Fernando Belo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Belgium were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
