Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Erling Bennet took the kick off in the first half of the match. With an all-out effort, Band Of Brothers's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 2 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anders Holmgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 3rdth minute of the game Anders Holmgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erling Bennet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Holmgren in the 8th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Kielberg came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Band Of Brothers's Hami Tuna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hami Tuna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anders Kielberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carl Caniggia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hami Tuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Bernat Bonet kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hami Tuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egbert Nijveldt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egbert Nijveldt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a kick off. Hami Tuna was a little too slow when David Eikelkamp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Band Of Brothers's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hami Tuna came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hami Tuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 63rd minute of play forced Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Hami Tuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hami Tuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Band Of Brothers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Wim Wilmes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 72nd minute. Anders Kielberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Erling Bennet put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Band Of Brothers made a substitution. Christian Engström replaced Vilgot Falk. After having played for 86 minutes, Patrik Billvall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Band Of Brothers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Billvall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Band Of Brothers's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hami Tuna came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Band Of Brothers's Evgenij Davydov was substituted for Carl Caniggia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Bennet in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
