Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baturhan Oytun started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Spain getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matias Ferrandis hit a great ball. Serginho Nogueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Aranda in the 9th minute. Spain's Jonathan Criado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serginho Nogueira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th minute of the match Spain got a corner. PIAUÍ FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omar Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Serginho Nogueira was a little too slow when David Aranda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Trancoso in the 23rd minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Ascaso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Adria Bielsa sped through PIAUÍ FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serginho Nogueira. Omar Toledo hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Trancoso came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baturhan Oytun came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the PIAUÍ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baturhan Oytun couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Nogueira having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spain walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
