An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Favoretto in the 20th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Wilfredo Ihintza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Wilfredo Ihintza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Kees Mooiweer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leandro Macario quite easily take care of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25's Leandro Macario. Leandro Macario was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Chivu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Leandro Macario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. But to his dismay, Victor Eliu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Alvarez in the 85th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. DξPΘЯΤIVØ 25 had won after a very even match.
