That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Green Academy's Wiliam Moura managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Chris Mergenthaler in the 13 minute of the game. In the 15th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Olgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinícius Olgado came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 18th minute of the game Chris Mergenthaler made a throw-in which Adrian Dreifuss played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 22nd minute of play forced Green Academy's goalkeeper Vinícius Olgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Green Academy's Eurico Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eurico Viana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th match minute, Green Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Viana in the 33rd minute of play. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Viana in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eurico Viana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Viana. 45 minutes into the match, Eurico Viana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Green Academy got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Paes. The supporters of Germany booed when Green Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Germany were awarded a corner. Frank Sachs went to the cornerflag to take it. Germany's Frank Sachs was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vinícius Olgado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Green Academy's Germán Cano was substituted for Marcinho Paes. Eurico Viana took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Eurico Viana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Green Academy's Eurico Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. If Eurico Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eurico Viana struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Academy. After 95 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Green Academy were victorious despite being under pressure from Germany for much of the match.
