Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bogdan Fikus started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Redha Elin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Fikus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind RS Wikowyje's goalkeeper Redha Elin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Redha Elin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Bogdan Fikus came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the RS Wikowyje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Fikus couldn't finish the play. RS Wikowyje's Redha Elin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after RS Wikowyje's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play forced RS Wikowyje's goalkeeper Redha Elin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RS Wikowyje getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bogdan Rakiewicz hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer succeeded in the game's 36th minute to get real power on a long shot . RS Wikowyje's Redha Elin hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! 43 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Redha Elin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Fikus in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, RS Wikowyje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Rakiewicz to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind RS Wikowyje's goalkeeper Redha Elin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Redha Elin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 62 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. A collision led to RS Wikowyje getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bogdan Rakiewicz hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Redha Elin threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Redha Elin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Redha Elin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Redha Elin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, RS Wikowyje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Rakiewicz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Arkadiusz Damaski came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the RS Wikowyje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiusz Damaski couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RS Wikowyje throughout the match.
