When the match had gone on for 2 minutes, Luiz Leo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Khalid Kennedy to make any attempt to save it. 7 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Cox came free, but Dé Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Luiz Leo made a precise shot to the right of Khalid Kennedy. England's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 18th match minute, Canarinho Atordoado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Leo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márcio Seabra in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Khalid Kennedy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 23rd minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dé Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dé Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Issac Dawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Peter Mpenza took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Khalid Kennedy to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Souza got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caelan Hayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Mpenza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Canarinho Atordoado were awarded a corner. Telmo Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. Telmo Souza made a great header on Canarinho Atordoado's corner, it was just that England's Khalid Kennedy managed to reach the ball for a save. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Mpenza in the 38th minute of the match. Seth Young hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes, Igor de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canarinho Atordoado and the England players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Igor de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Márcio Seabra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dé Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 56th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Peter Mpenza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Khalid Kennedy. England's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Mpenza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Leo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caelan Hayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the England defense, Peter Mpenza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khalid Kennedy. The England fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khalid Kennedy should have stopped the shot. Khalid Kennedy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márcio Seabra went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Leo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Leo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Khalid Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarinho Atordoado. 83 minutes into the match, Peter Mpenza notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of England's Khalid Kennedy. Khalid Kennedy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cooper Thompson during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute Peter Mpenza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dé Mello was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Micah Macdonald. Márcio Seabra hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Issac Dawson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Dé Mello made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the England players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canarinho Atordoado.
