Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Penuel Football Club's Ortzi Elizondo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes in the game, Ortzi Elizondo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. When Rodrigo von Känel fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Rodrigo von Känel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Rodrigo von Känel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Penuel Football Club getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Raul Bertiz hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Leopoldo Cero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Samuele Kunz came free, but Fernando Cavenaghi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Samuele Kunz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Cavenaghi was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Fernando Cavenaghi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Maurer in the 14th minute of play. Fernando Cavenaghi came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Switzerland's Fridolin Neumeister. But to his dismay, Fridolin Neumeister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Timo Siegmund kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Jacinto Maurer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cavenaghi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Cavenaghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuele Kunz in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Rodrigo von Känel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Cavenaghi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st minute, Samuele Kunz made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Cavenaghi. Penuel Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 34th minute Samuele Kunz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cavenaghi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fe Lizaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuele Kunz in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Cavenaghi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the game, Eric Thomi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Fernando Cavenaghi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuele Kunz in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Maurer came free, but Fernando Cavenaghi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Switzerland were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Penuel Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Cavenaghi should have stopped the shot. Fernando Cavenaghi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Jacinto Maurer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cavenaghi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Cavenaghi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuele Kunz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Cavenaghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo von Känel in the 72nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi got control of the ball when Samuele Kunz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The shot was a little too simple and Fernando Cavenaghi could save by the left post. In the 92nd minute, Samuele Kunz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Switzerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. 96 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Maurer came free, but Fernando Cavenaghi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Switzerland played a much better game than Penuel Football Club and deserved their victory. The Penuel Football Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
