Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Viriato Moura made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Portugal booed when Suleskard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Hilde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Suleskard fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Suleskard's Lars Oftedal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lars Oftedal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Wilson Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute, Torjus Fjellheim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 2-2. A hard shot 32 in the game by Lars Oftedal from a close distance when the talented Wilson Amorim managed to make a qualified save. Portugal's players were relieved. In the 33rd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Lars Oftedal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 3-2. Lars Oftedal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Oftedal made a kick off. Graciano Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Grøndahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Lars Oftedal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Suleskard got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Evans. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torjus Fjellheim in the 59th minute of play. Lars Oftedal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torjus Fjellheim in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Torjus Fjellheim notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torjus Fjellheim in the 68th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Lars Oftedal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Lars Oftedal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Oftedal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Oftedal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adrian Grøndahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Alf Nøttveit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-3. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
