After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Vieja Guardia Jrs's goalkeeper Apolo Chica, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute Germany were awarded a corner. Frank Sachs went to the cornerflag to take it. Germany's Frank Sachs was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apolo Chica in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Matxin Maliaño hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Apolo Chica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Janik Vogt hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matxin Maliaño. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apolo Chica saved La Vieja Guardia Jrs from getting behind. After 20 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Curcio Caldevila who took care of the corner kick. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Curcio Caldevila was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Isias Cembrana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Alex Pedrera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Pedrera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Aare Lätti's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aare Lätti helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Vieja Guardia Jrs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Pedrera in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute La Vieja Guardia Jrs were awarded a corner. Curcio Caldevila went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Isias Cembrana getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Germany's attentive Linus Schwerner managed to snatch the ball when Guillelme Veraza made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Matxin Maliaño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matxin Maliaño to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Chica. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. La Vieja Guardia Jrs made a substitution. Inigo Guceño replaced Isias Cembrana. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Calisto Requena was substituted for Froilan Romillo. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Chica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aare Lätti hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Pedrera in the 71st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Chica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Apolo Chica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Apolo Chica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Germany's Frank Sachs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inigo Guceño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over La Vieja Guardia Jrs's much stronger midfield.
