An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocky Ryland in the 9th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Rolf Brandt threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Suleskard's Adrian Grøndahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Suleskard from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Rocky Ryland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Suleskard's goalkeeper Adrian Grøndahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caetano Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Adrian Grøndahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rocky Ryland in the 21st minute of play. Adrian Grøndahl was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Barreto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. In the 46th minute, Rolf Brandt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Suleskard were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Oftedal made a kick off. Adrian Grøndahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda suffered a sore thigh after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Torjus Fjellheim's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torjus Fjellheim helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Suleskard got a freekick which was hit by Torjus Fjellheim. 63 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Mauseth came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Suleskard's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Adrian Grøndahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Arnold Evans made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lars Oftedal. After some careless play in the Suleskard defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Grøndahl. The Suleskard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Grøndahl should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Oftedal. The throw-in from Rolf Brandt in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Felipe Barreto. Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Alf Nøttveit scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
