Hilario Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Abella in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Cristobal Santana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Keld Paulsen, 1-0. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Lucas Abella sent off a good shot on target. Hilario Faron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olav Graversen to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 29 in the game by Lucas Abella from a close distance when the talented Keld Paulsen managed to make a qualified save. Denmark's players were relieved. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Club Dep. Union Madereros's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Faron came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Cornelio Colas was substituted for Cristobal Santana. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Laurgain, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. David Lynch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Chris Nygaard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hilario Faron. The goal made the score 2-1. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Murilo Leão quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Olav Graversen, made in the 90th minute of the game. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Laurgain in the 91st minute of play. Chris Nygaard made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 95thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hilario Faron would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Laurgain in the 97th minute of play. Club Dep. Union Madereros's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
