In the 16th minute 孙鸿鹏 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliveiro Gijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孙鸿鹏 in the 30th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliveiro Gijon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孙鸿鹏 in the 53rd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when 孙鸿鹏 came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Belgium booed when Carpasús FC - FDC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Lavatrice didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孙鸿鹏 in the 66th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carpasús FC - FDC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to fire away a dangerous shot which Oliveiro Gijon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carpasús FC - FDC's Baraquiel Peralta was substituted for Xavieon Charro. In the 73rd minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Yves Dervaux heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 82 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 孙鸿鹏. Belgium's Sander Dermaut got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, 孙鸿鹏 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Belgium players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
