Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Augusto Cordario kicked off to start the match. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Cordario slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. The throw-in from Rodolfo Miranda in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Javier Pinola. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th play minute Augusto Cordario came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wilson Amorim. 2-0. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ronan Mistral tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 43 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. Erwin Huygens came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Viriato Moura. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 51st minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Cordario's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Erwin Huygens was a little too slow when Daniel Pimentel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 4-3. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Augusto Cordario took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Ago Tramp replaced Filomeno Montrell. Velez Sarsfield's Yiyo Bernal was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 94th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
