VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save VAMO ARRIBA from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Aquiles Ellande in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lars Meesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Ellande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. VAMO ARRIBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Egbert Nijveldt made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande managed to reach the ball for a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Galo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Piara Gerli came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 77th minute of play forced VAMO ARRIBA's goalkeeper Aquiles Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Paulino Galo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute Paulino Galo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulino Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Netherlands walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
