But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pastor Frantzes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ermegildo Quilo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Raitin. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pastor Frantzes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Eikelkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 28th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Preca, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Sajones F.C.'s Giuseppe Preca, in the 29th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sajones F.C.. With an all-out effort, Sajones F.C.'s Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giuseppe Preca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
After 52 minutes, Mo Feng Xiang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sajones F.C. and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lars Meesters charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Meesters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Meesters to maneuver through the defense. Pastor Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Pastor Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Preca kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Sajones F.C. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Giuseppe Preca hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Cesar Quinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pastor Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 87th minute of the match. Fidel Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Quinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Sajones F.C.'s Pastor Frantzes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sajones F.C. from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Prejun went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
