Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Antal Valentin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Trubin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Sporting Clube de Gaya made a substitution. Roque Euloxu replaced Paulo-Henrique Ganso. The throw-in from Bakos Endre in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sporting Clube de Gaya's Tarcísio Peixoto. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Isaac Göransson got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Fredy Montero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube de Gaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredy Montero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Trubin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Manuel Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hungary booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sporting Clube de Gaya's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isaac Göransson in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with António Trubin in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isaac Göransson was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Clube de Gaya's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Manuel Porto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. António Trubin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Fredy Montero came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Boros Benedek. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredy Montero in the 70th minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bakos Endre made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vörös Henrik immediately put the ball in play. António Trubin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. João Tinoco hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fodor Daniel threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredy Montero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredy Montero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Tarcísio Peixoto got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Trubin having to interfere.
