Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar van Rhijn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar van Rhijn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Germany were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Sheep United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. Germany's Albin Holweck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar van Rhijn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Sheep United's Douwe Gentenaar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ulrich Stein hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douwe Gentenaar in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar van Rhijn was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Edgar van Rhijn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Thanks to some nice moves Frank Sachs could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Edgar van Rhijn however easily saved by the left post. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar van Rhijn having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Bob Arts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Edgar van Rhijn managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Germany's Frank Sachs fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 65th minute, Germany's Frank Sachs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar van Rhijn having to interfere. Michael Kuiper hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, Michael Mol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ulrich Stein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Germany could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sheep United throughout the match.
