Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and John-Paul Marquant capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. John-Paul Marquant really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John-Paul Marquant in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Green Madness's John-Paul Marquant slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 3-0 after 15 minutes of play. 17 minutes into the match, Green Madness's John-Paul Marquant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Green Madness's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by La Škarpa in the 19th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Green Madness got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. La Škarpa ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Paul Marquant in the 34th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John-Paul Marquant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Green Madness's Arnoldo Betadur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Willy Stieler in the 37 minute of the game. John-Paul Marquant scored 4-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John-Paul Marquant in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Green Madness's John-Paul Marquant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Peysson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The Green Madness fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 83rd minute Étienne Cubizolles suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Adrian Dreifuss was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 90 minutes of play, Green Madness's Terry Peysson made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Peysson in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. Green Madness walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
