An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 44th minute of play forced Waffem Fc's goalkeeper Aaron Inge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Waffem Fc getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mitch Dekens hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Aaron Inge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Inge was a little too slow when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. Waffem Fc's Eugenio Rio was substituted for 孟源枫. Waffem Fc's Aaron Inge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 65th minute of play. If Nestor Claris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Mitch Dekens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands played a much better game than Waffem Fc and deserved their victory. The Waffem Fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
