Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jude Monkhouse made the kick off and thus started the match. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Várzea F.C. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaccheo Andolina got free with Carlos Augusto Quintal in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jude Monkhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aloísio Secco was slow to take the kick. During this time Várzea F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Aloísio Secco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Italy's Flavio Vittori did a great save. Carlos Augusto Quintal came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Zaccheo Andolina. But to his dismay, Zaccheo Andolina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 20 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Várzea F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Siricio Liotta made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal managed to reach the ball for a save. Zaccheo Andolina in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 31st minute of play. Eliseo Cutri made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zaccheo Andolina however managed to control. In the 34th minute, Zaccheo Andolina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Italy's Porziano Marchitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jude Monkhouse in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Várzea F.C.'s Aloísio Secco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavio Vittori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42nd minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. Italy's Eliseo Cutri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 44 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Zena Busacca. 45 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Secco came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jude Monkhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sigfrido Auletta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the game, Eliseo Cutri threw the ball into play from the sideline. Várzea F.C.'s Delmiro Licerio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zaccheo Andolina scored 3-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Augusto Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Delmiro Licerio in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 71st minute of the match. When Zaccheo Andolina came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaccheo Andolina couldn't finish the play. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Delmiro Licerio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 79 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Augusto Quintal was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Carlos Augusto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Várzea F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Siricio Liotta took the corner. Italy's Siricio Liotta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Italy fully deserved thier win.
