An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 10th minute of play forced Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Xander Goos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gustaaf Groeneveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xander Goos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Shen Sang Hao received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Shen Sang Hao slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 25th minute of play forced Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Xander Goos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xander Goos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Dráusio Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xander Goos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The nice shot from Shen Sang Hao in the 40thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Arnout Reekers had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Lars Meesters scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xander Goos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Xander Goos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Xander Goos however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xander Goos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bas Tuitert fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Bas Tuitert a yellow card for diving instead. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match Carlos Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Xander Goos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shen Sang Hao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Gianpaolo Lovera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Xander Goos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Netherlands played a much better game than Tarrasque Voador F.C. and deserved their victory. The Tarrasque Voador F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
