Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feng Chao Wei having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Feng Chao Wei in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Daniel Pimentel made a precise shot to the right of Feng Chao Wei. Villa Verde FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Borges in the 23rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Erivaldo Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Basso in the 25th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Verde FC's Feng Chao Wei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Grigore Coroian, made in the 36th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Borges in the 43rd minute of play. Dida Viana was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Dida Viana got a free kick in the 45th minute. Feng Chao Wei came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Caetano Moreira. But to his dismay, Caetano Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Du Yue Yun made in the 62nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Wesley Basso however managed to control. Villa Verde FC made a substitution. Belmiro Borges replaced Grigore Coroian. 67 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's Erivaldo Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. A well-hit corner resulted in Alexsandro Garcia heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Luís Guilherme Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexsandro Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Villa Verde FC booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Borges in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Luís Guilherme Cearense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 2-3. 95 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Feng Chao Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Villa Verde FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Portugal throughout the match.
