Franja Dorada's Silverio Jacob got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Silverio Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lamego was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Bülent Ruge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, André Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Timo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Silverio Jacob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute of the match, Alessandro Meirelles got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Licerio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 36 minutes Franja Dorada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Eduardo Toledo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on SAO JOANENSE FC's corner Carlos Eduardo Toledo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valentin Licerio quite easily take care of the ball. Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bülent Ruge in the 41st minute of play. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Jacob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Silverio Jacob had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Franja Dorada fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Franja Dorada's Silverio Jacob looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silverio Jacob to strike the kick off in the second half. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 56 minutes into the game, SAO JOANENSE FC's Alessandro Meirelles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Licerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Franja Dorada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeusz Mroczynski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Licerio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87thth minute of the game Silverio Jacob who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bülent Ruge in the 88th minute of play. Silverio Jacob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Amadeu Lamego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silverio Jacob in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SAO JOANENSE FC had won after a very even match.
