Franja Dorada's Valentin Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 13th minute of play. Anastasio Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. The supporters of Franja Dorada booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasio Karlo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Karlo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikolaj Jerzyk saved Newcastle United from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Franja Dorada's Angel Bessone got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 88th minute of the match Franja Dorada got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Igor Tartalo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Valentin Licerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newcastle United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Franja Dorada.
