With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Laudadio in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Shilton saved Italiano from getting behind. Peter Shilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Laudadio in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute SPALLETTE RETURNS were awarded a corner. Davide Guerrini went to the cornerflag to take it. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Davide Guerrini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Peter Shilton in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Shilton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Silvestri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Quintanilha in the 13th minute of the match. Cosimo Laudadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Månsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Augusto Bevilacqua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Shilton having to interfere. Cosimo Laudadio scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Shilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SPALLETTE RETURNS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cosimo Laudadio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosimo Laudadio got free with Peter Shilton in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosimo Laudadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Shilton having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Cosimo Laudadio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Peter Shilton. 42 minutes into the match, Cosimo Laudadio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Italiano's Peter Shilton. Peter Shilton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPALLETTE RETURNS the free kick. In the 46th minute, Luiz Fernando Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosimo Laudadio to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Shilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 54th minute, Cosimo Laudadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Shilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Cosimo Laudadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Fortunato Santone replaced Armando Izzo. Cosimo Laudadio might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Shilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Laudadio ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Shilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Laudadio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Cosimo Laudadio might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Shilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Laudadio ran back to his position shaking his head. Peter Shilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Laudadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosimo Laudadio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Shilton having to make a save. Peter Shilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Laudadio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Peter Shilton came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio. But to his dismay, Cosimo Laudadio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. The audience was convinced that Cosimo Laudadio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Shilton was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute Augusto Bevilacqua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Shilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Shilton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cosimo Laudadio went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Peter Shilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Laudadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Cosimo Laudadio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Shilton was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.
