The corner ended in Lluis Companys almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson did a great save. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Lluis Companys put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Viktor Pettersson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 46th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chen Ao Fan was the one to do the kick off. When Lluis Companys came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the KaoS Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Lebas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save KaoS Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Viktor Pettersson came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by KaoS Futbol Club's Narciso Noe. But to his dismay, Narciso Noe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
