The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luciano Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Kevin Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, JURIDIQUES F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Keegan came free, but Dráuzio Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind JURIDIQUES F.C's goalkeeper Dráuzio Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dráuzio Abraão. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Dráuzio Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krister Uggstedt to maneuver through the defense. After 29 minutes of play, JURIDIQUES F.C's Germano Rebelo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Norström was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Skövde AIK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. JURIDIQUES F.C were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germano Rebelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 63 minutes, Kevin Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráuzio Abraão. JURIDIQUES F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 76th minute of play forced JURIDIQUES F.C's goalkeeper Dráuzio Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skövde AIK were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after JURIDIQUES F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chen Ao Fan took the corner. Chen Ao Fan made a great header on Skövde AIK's corner, it was just that JURIDIQUES F.C's Dráuzio Abraão managed to reach the ball for a save. After 85 played minutes JURIDIQUES F.C got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Machado. Dráuzio Abraão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Keegan went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Kevin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Abraão having to interfere. Dráuzio Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the referee ended the match the Skövde AIK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
