Istvan Kowalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Karel-Jan Kerckmans. Istvan Kowalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Istvan Kowalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Istvan Kowalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EL MAGO ONEILL's Istvan Kowalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Strong in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jasper Goemyne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Octavio Gonzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EL MAGO ONEILL's Istvan Kowalski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Gonzo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Istvan Kowalski saved EL MAGO ONEILL from getting behind. When Octavio Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rafaela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Gonzo couldn't finish the play. Inocencio Veronica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Monteserin in the 29th minute. Octavio Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes Rafaela FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yaniusky Basante who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Yaniusky Basante got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Inocencio Veronica quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Rolando Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Gonzo in the 43rd minute of play forced EL MAGO ONEILL's goalkeeper Istvan Kowalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, EL MAGO ONEILL's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Jax came free, but Istvan Kowalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Jasper Goemyne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Octavio Gonzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EL MAGO ONEILL's Istvan Kowalski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of EL MAGO ONEILL's goalie and right to Rolando Jax. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. EL MAGO ONEILL's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a little luck, EL MAGO ONEILL's Istvan Kowalski got control of the ball when Octavio Gonzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th play minute Rolando Jax came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Istvan Kowalski. 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Octavio Gonzo could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Istvan Kowalski however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, EL MAGO ONEILL's goalkeeper Istvan Kowalski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Gonzo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Gonzo got free with Istvan Kowalski in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 minutes EL MAGO ONEILL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nico Veit who took care of the corner kick. Nico Veit made a great header on Rafaela FC's corner, it was just that EL MAGO ONEILL's Istvan Kowalski managed to reach the ball for a save. Octavio Gonzo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Istvan Kowalski firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Octavio Gonzo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Istvan Kowalski. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match Eloy Gipuzkoa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Istvan Kowalski skillfully saved the ball. If Humberto Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the game, José Maria Gimenez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL MAGO ONEILL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rafaela FC the free kick.
