Micah Macdonald was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, Rufián's Khalid Kennedy threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnulfo Otsando, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Angel Bordat's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angel Bordat helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rufián's Gualterio Henrico got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 23 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Issac Dawson. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jonas Figueroa sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Figueroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Khalid Kennedy made a huge save. In the 32nd minute Issac Dawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Timo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Leighton Davies mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the England and the Rufián players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Leighton Davies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Etxekopar in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Rufián got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Garaona. Jonas Figueroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Khalid Kennedy made a huge save. 41 minutes into the game, Caelan Hayes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. England's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rufián the free kick. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Caelan Hayes hit a great ball. Rufián's Jonas Figueroa got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Cox stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Otsando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Cox scored 0-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Timo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Otsando in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, England's Xavier Gallagher got a free kick in the 65th minute. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnulfo Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Khalid Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the England defense, Arnulfo Otsando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khalid Kennedy. The England fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khalid Kennedy should have stopped the shot. In the 78th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cooper Thompson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Otsando in the 79th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Kyle Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Cox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rufián made a substitution. Benedicto Evangelista replaced Jonas Figueroa. Rufián's Miguel Veto was substituted for Eduardo Paulin. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Otsando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Fabian Timo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Evangelista in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Otsando came free, but Khalid Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
