After some careless play in the Germany defense, Unai Calatayud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Unai Calatayud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Ourense's goalie prevented a goal. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Unai Calatayud in the 23rd minute. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Herberto Palacios shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Colon Manrique took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colon Manrique showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Frank Sachs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Ourense's Colon Manrique did a great save. The supporters of Germany booed when Atlético Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indartsu Sarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Ourense's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colon Manrique came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Sánchez kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Germany got a corner. Atlético Ourense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Frank Sachs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Ourense's Colon Manrique did a great save. Leonides Sánchez thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Colon Manrique, a very annoying self made goal in the 66th minute which led to 1-1. Atlético Ourense made a substitution. Tartalo Rajoi replaced Unai Calatayud. Leonides Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tartalo Rajoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tartalo Rajoi in the 76th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Leonides Sánchez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Ourense and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atlético Ourense getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Leonides Sánchez hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Colon Manrique saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute of the game Chris Mergenthaler made a throw-in which Frank Sachs played forward. Tartalo Rajoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Colon Manrique made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 86th minute. Atlético Ourense's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Frank Sachs 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, Atlético Ourense's goalkeeper Colon Manrique had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. In the 94th minute Tartalo Rajoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Germany walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
