After 39 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Maxence Durand. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Morungaba SC's goalkeeper Nestor Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Cardozo got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gilbert Czerniak. Camille Baume took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Torres. Nestor Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alf Odman to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Alf Odman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxime Durand was a little too slow when Alf Odman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 5-2. Nestor Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Baume, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilbert Czerniak. Alf Odman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Maxime Durand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Remy Dupuy struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Nestor Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. In the 98th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
