In the 6th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Nicholas was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Jacinto Nicholas came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Nicholas saved Olds School Pepo from getting behind. In the 28th match minute, Olds School Pepo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Pagomari to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jacinto Nicholas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 31 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. Olds School Pepo's Jacinto Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 49th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when José Serrizuela made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Olds School Pepo got a freekick which was hit by Pepo De Simone. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jacinto Nicholas made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Olds School Pepo's Virgilio Pedroso got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Olds School Pepo's Aleksander Pazura got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacinto Nicholas was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prudencio Mendebal in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jacinto Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Mendebal in the 75th minute of the match. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olds School Pepo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Serrizuela in the 85th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pepo De Simone kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Olds School Pepo's Jacinto Nicholas got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Nicholas having to interfere.
