Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balazs Lajos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Major Barna put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rhys Dimmock. In the 45th minute, Daron Joseph made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Rhys Dimmock was a little too slow when Major Barna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 2-2. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Zamalek FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. In the 59th minute, Hungary's Major Barna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rhys Dimmock. Rhys Dimmock yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Zamalek FC made a substitution. Jann Bernickow replaced Leonardo Lane. After 69 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Lane. In the 69th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elin Elin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Elin Elin got a free kick in the 71st minute. Balazs Lajos might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balazs Lajos ran back to his position shaking his head. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Tytus Banaszak got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daron Joseph in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. 85 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Jann Bernickow came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zack Grier charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zack Grier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Zack Grier got a free kick in the 87th minute. Antal Valentin, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Kirkpatrick in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zamalek FC.
