If Serafin Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narciso Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of play. Wim Wilmes scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Carlomagno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Julio Nazario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 31st minute of play forced Martelli City Club's goalkeeper Narciso Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Bonadona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Martelli City Club's Narciso Carlomagno. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafin Bonadona was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Serafin Bonadona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martelli City Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Martelli City Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martelli City Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Luix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Narciso Carlomagno was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Narciso Carlomagno was a little too slow when Wim Wilmes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 2-7. In the 84th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Narciso Carlomagno.
