When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Lionel-Andrés Messias took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Casper Claes to make any attempt to save it. In the 13th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 14th minute of play forced Sαηgrε Azuɭ's goalkeeper Luciano Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Ferran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten made a great header on Belgium's corner, it was just that Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran managed to reach the ball for a save. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Orzaize in the 21st minute of play. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lionel-Andrés Messias's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Devos in the 26th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Edward Vanderstraeten in the 27th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Casper Claes had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lionel-Andrés Messias from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Luciano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 38th minute of play forced Sαηgrε Azuɭ's goalkeeper Luciano Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel-Andrés Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Ferran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 55 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Orzaize came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the Belgium and the Sαηgrε Azuɭ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nigel Devos hit a great ball. Adrian Orzaize took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 73rd minute, Lionel-Andrés Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sαηgrε Azuɭ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Lionel-Andrés Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Rodriguez in the 88th minute of play. Yves Dervaux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Luciano Ferran made a huge save. Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Luciano Ferran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Sαηgrε Azuɭ from getting a goal against them. Luciano Ferran was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Edward Vanderstraeten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Nigel Devos hit a great ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Messias in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sαηgrε Azuɭ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Belgium had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
