Hammarby IF's Holger Vester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 6th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Holger Vester. Hammarby IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Hungary booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 18th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 19th minute. Isaltino Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Totti in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Holger Vester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Holger Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Söderberg's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Dominguez to make the kick off. Balazs Lajos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Holger Vester when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Major Barna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Holger Vester firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 59 minutes of play, Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Dominguez in the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Wallin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Totti in the 67th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Holger Vester in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Vester having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Katona Janos put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Hungary:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hammarby IF:s goal. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Controller Serapio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balazs Lajos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
