Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nelson Haedo made the kick off which started today's match. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 3rd minute of play. Nelson Haedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 12th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 28th minute of play. Club Olimpia's Harry Backlund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 32 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Haedo got free with Arnout Reekers in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Olimpia's Denis Inestrosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 38 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Nelson Haedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Haedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Club Olimpia's Edmund Lidberg was substituted for Rickard Soned. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 55th minute. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 71st minute of play. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Nelson Haedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roque Gora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredo Aguilar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Alfredo Aguilar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Gora in the 87th minute of play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Nelson Haedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 95th minute. Club Olimpia's Denis Inestrosa got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Gora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Olimpia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
