Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Leonardo de Godoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Arnout Reekers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valdomiro Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 38th minute of the match. Valdomiro Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Zomerhuis in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perivaldo Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Klewinski in the 97th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
