Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki started the match with the kick off. Frank Pearce made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Vörös Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Frank Pearce made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. If Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. In the 24th minute, Manchester City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 34 minutes Manchester City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. When Barrie Fleming came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Manchester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barrie Fleming couldn't finish the play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffrey De Bougne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Geoffrey De Bougne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Saville kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 51st minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 61st minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Manchester City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Manchester City's goalie and right to Boros Benedek. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Manchester City's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 64 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Pearce. Manchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Carey got free with Fodor Daniel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Hegedus Henrik put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frank Pearce. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Pearce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Fleming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester City's Frank Pearce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 74th minute of play. Frank Pearce came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Pearce was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Major Barna in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Pearce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Pearce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hegedus Henrik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthony Carey in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Elliot Colvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match Antal Valentin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Pearce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 94 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey De Bougne. There was no doubt that Hungary were the better team. Hungary's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
