Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Sanson. Lucas Sanson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Sanson was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Lucas Sanson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amado Bermudo in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Echesortu Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Echesortu Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Sanson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Sanson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Mathijn Doctor's late challenge caught a Echesortu Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathijn Doctor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Amado Bermudo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arnout Reekers, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Sanson saved Echesortu Football Club from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Echesortu Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Lucas Sanson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Sanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 51st minute, but Lucas Sanson got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Echesortu Football Club hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in Echesortu Football Club's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Sanson came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 61st minute of play forced Echesortu Football Club's goalkeeper Lucas Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Sanson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 63rd minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Sanson having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Echesortu Football Club the free kick. After 72 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. If Guaberto Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 81st minute of play forced Echesortu Football Club's goalkeeper Lucas Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Sanson came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 88th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucas Sanson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lucas Sanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
