An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffen Eisenheld in the 16th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FV Wienerwald's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ralf Szüczs in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Mallinger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Pierre Van den Plas sped through Italy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. After 33 played minutes Ziemowit Fleszar rounded Italy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. 36 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Marcel Mallinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Pierre Van den Plas sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Sigfrido Auletta notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. Marcel Mallinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steffen Eisenheld kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Mallinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Sigfrido Auletta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Marcel Mallinger made a huge save. Per Nienhaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Curto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Marcel Mallinger made a huge save. Pankracy Pilitowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
