Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Cristobal Eneto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Eneto in the 14th minute of the match. Fabricio Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The throw-in from Fabricio Andrade in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Marplatense's Marcelino Gilabert. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Eneto in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 18th minute of play forced Deportivo Marplatense's goalkeeper Mikael Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Eneto to make the kick off. With his leg Mikael Sjögren managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Deportivo Marplatense's Mikael Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Mikael Sjögren made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Bartolomeu Dias made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Sjögren. Deportivo Marplatense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 91 minutes into the game, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Deportivo Marplatense getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Szabolcs Schimmer hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Mikael Sjögren in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
