Bertram Svenningsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tebaldo Comas came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keld Paulsen could save by the left post. Denmark's Lars Steen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zé Valadares in the 24 minute of the game. Samuca Leão's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Leão helped the player get up and apologised. Bjarne Kirkegaard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Mazza. Vicit FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Keld Paulsen managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Vicit FC's Samuca Leão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 35th minute of play forced Vicit FC's goalkeeper Pedro Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Vicit FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Pedro Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuca Leão in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Keld Paulsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Keld Paulsen had great luck who in the 47thth minute grab hold of the ball when Samuca Leão from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tebaldo Comas in the 51st minute of play. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Zé Valadares made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tebaldo Comas's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The supporters of Denmark booed when Vicit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denmark's Lars Steen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zé Valadares in the 67 minute of the game. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tebaldo Comas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Zé Valadares hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Porfiro Catalan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vicit FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Zé Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Vicit FC's Samuca Leão. But to his dismay, Samuca Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredinho Tasso during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
