Despite this Abel Jusepe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Cordeiro in the 11th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Abel Jusepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Jusepe having to interfere. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Jusepe having to interfere. Abel Jusepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Jusepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Jusepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Anibal Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abel Jusepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes Real Còrdoba FC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Figueroa. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Cordeiro in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, 최 명 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Abel Jusepe in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Wim Wilmes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abel Jusepe. That made the score 2-1 in the 56 minute of play. The nice shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 60thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Abel Jusepe had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 61st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. Abel Jusepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 69th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Lars Meesters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Abel Jusepe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Abel Jusepe made a huge save. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Real Còrdoba FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. In the 77th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Figueroa in the 81st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Netherlands's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 84th minute Anibal Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Còrdoba FC's Matias Montes got a free kick in the 85th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Abel Jusepe made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
